This course tackles the fundamental elements every book designer needs to know to create simple graphics themselves or to be able to adjust more complex illustrations.

By mastering Bezier curves and understanding the construction techniques used in Illustrator you will learn to create simple graphics, logos and drawings as well as being able to make changes to supplied artworks yourself.

This practical one day course in London will give you the basic tools and skills you need to use Illustrator with confidence.

Mark is our InDesign trainer and has worked in book publishing as a designer and trainer for nearly twenty five years. After studying graphic design Mark worked for various design studios before taking on a training role at Dorling Kindersley. While at DK he advised on best practices for book creation and ran a team of in-house DTP staff. Following DK's merger with Penguin, Mark worked as a key member of the management team responsible for the group's migration to InDesign. Mark is currently Publishing Manager for InXmedia Ltd and continues to work 'hands-on' designing and typesetting books as well as being responsible for print production and publishing activities within the company.
