This introductory practical one day InDesign course in London, will equip you with the InDesign basics you need to get up and running.  You will learn how to find your way around InDesign and use the tools and features you need in order to create professional looking layouts and books.

Who is the course aimed at?
Marketing, Publicity, Production and Editorial. Complete beginners or those with little experience of using page-make-up applications
  • Acquire InDesign basic skills to create documents yourself
  • Create your own publicity material from InDesign
  • Learn how to use the key tools, utilise the control strip and manage the panels
  • Format text, change fonts and size, etc with ease
  • Import or manipulate images
  • Use colour on text, boxes and line rules

Mark is our InDesign trainer and has worked in book publishing as a designer and trainer for nearly twenty five years. After studying graphic design Mark worked for various design studios before taking on a training role at Dorling Kindersley. While at DK he advised on best practices for book creation and ran a team of in-house DTP staff. Following DK's merger with Penguin, Mark worked as a key member of the management team responsible for the group's migration to InDesign. Mark is currently Publishing Manager for InXmedia Ltd and continues to work 'hands-on' designing and typesetting books as well as being responsible for print production and publishing activities within the company.
