This one day InDesign course in London concentrates on the principles involved in building long, predominantly text only documents with InDesign.  It is appropriate for typesetting relatively straightforward books such as novels or biographies.

This is a basic course that will take complete beginners through the essentials you need so that you can typeset your own books.

You will learn how to import text, preserve formatting and how to create and use style sheets.

We will show you the most efficient ways to set up documents in order to save time and ensure consistency throughout.

Mark is our InDesign trainer and has worked in book publishing as a designer and trainer for nearly twenty five years. After studying graphic design Mark worked for various design studios before taking on a training role at Dorling Kindersley. While at DK he advised on best practices for book creation and ran a team of in-house DTP staff. Following DK's merger with Penguin, Mark worked as a key member of the management team responsible for the group's migration to InDesign. Mark is currently Publishing Manager for InXmedia Ltd and continues to work 'hands-on' designing and typesetting books as well as being responsible for print production and publishing activities within the company.
